What Eye Records handles
Full refraction fields
SPH, CYL, axis, add, prism, VA and PD for each eye, for distance, near and intermediate.
Power history
Every past test listed by date, with the change from the previous visit highlighted in amber.
Outside prescriptions
Photograph a doctor’s slip at the counter and attach it to the customer record.
Contact lens fittings
Base curve, diameter, brand, wear schedule and trial notes kept apart from spectacle powers.
Family records
Link family members under one mobile number so a parent can collect a child’s glasses.
Role-based access
Optometrists can edit tests. Counter staff can read powers but not change them.
How it runs in the store

Find or add the customer
Search by name or mobile number. Returning customers open with their last power on screen.

Optometrist records the test
Values entered by the tester, with checks on axis range and power steps.

Change is flagged
Any difference from the previous test is marked so staff can explain it to the customer.

Power flows to the job card
The saved prescription fills the lab order, so nobody retypes a number.

Eye-care and responsible AI
- Eye tests are done by qualified optometrists or doctors. The software records results and never generates a prescription.
- Eye records are health data. They are encrypted, visible only to authorised staff and never sold.
- Customers can ask for a copy of their records or for them to be deleted.
Eye Records questions
Can we add old customer powers?
Yes. Import from a spreadsheet or add them as customers return. Each imported test keeps its original date.
Can the customer get a printed prescription?
Yes. Print or send it on WhatsApp with your store details and the tester’s name.
Do eye records follow the customer across branches?
Yes, for staff you allow. Branch staff see the same history wherever the customer walks in.
